Review: Okay, so My Love Patzzi. It’s a relatively short drama considering Korean dramas in general, only ten episodes. And to be honest, I like it that way. I like shorter dramas because things happen faster instead of the drama being dragged out. Sometimes it’s necessary and sometimes it’s not. So anyway, this is a really cute drama with Jang Nara, Kim Jae Won, and Kim Rae Won.
Kim Jae Won and Kim Rae Won. The question is always which one does everyone prefer. One quick question, why? They really aren’t alike and this is the only drama where they are together. Maybe it’s because their names are very close, but other than that, not much a like. Personally, I like Kim Jae Won better, but that’s because I’ve seen him in more dramas than Kim Rae Won. But in this drama I was definitely rooting for Kim Rae Won’s character for Jang Nara’s character! I think they are definitely cute together.
So, the whole plot kind of revolves around the Cinderella-like story of Patzzi. Song Yi has an “evil step-sister” that has painted her as this horrible person, while she is actually the conniving little witch! Ugh, she bothers me, but it adds to the drama of the story. So in the end, she is revealed as the evil master mind behind everything. So that’s good.
The love triangle isn’t that unique. I mean it’s definitely one that is familiar. The one guy secretly loves her and the other one is kind of needy. I think the thing that made it a little more unique was the fact that Song Yi saved Seung Joon’s life, or so he likes to think.
So, to see who she ends up with, I would definitely watch it. It’s only ten episodes. If you like Kim Rae Won and Kim Jae Won then you should probably see it. It’s a good, nice, short love story. I can hardly find it anywhere though! But I did finally find one link. So enjoy!!!

Successful Story of a Bright Girl is a Korean drama starring jang Nara (Cha Yang Soon) and Jang Hyuk (Han Gi Tae). It aired from March 2002 to May 2002 with 16 episodes.
Jang Hyuk as Han Gi Tae
Jang Na Ra as Cha Yang Soon
Han Eun Jung as Yoon Na Hee
Ryu Soo Young as Han Joon Tae
Synopsis: Jang Na Ra plays a cute and innocent country girl who often daydreams of rescuing her prince. One day, she meets Jang Hyuk who accidentally falls into her bath tub while she was taking her bath. Not off to a good start they started arguing over the matter. However, the story goes on to tell how Jang Nara arrives in the big city due to her plan to settle her irresponsible parents’ debts. She moves into Jang Hyuk’s house as a hired servant hence begins to teach the rich spoiled brat (Jang Hyuk) some manners through her down to earth scoldings and no-nonsense attitude. This drama gets totally hilarious in many scenes where Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk’s combination comes out as refreshingly cute. Jang Hyuk plays a rich and proud man who inherits his father’s business but is later betrayed by his own cousin and uncle leading to his downfall. On the other hand, Jang Nara plays a girl that he meets who help him pick up the pieces in his life, from defeat to success.
Review: I like this drama for a couple reasons. One is because of the story. Great plot line, they don’t meander into a whole other stories, like some dramas do. It is a little overly dramatic, like when Han Gi Tae throws things because he’s angry, but over all, it’s a cute story. Second, is the actors. I thought and still think that Jang Nara has such a babyface! She will always look younger than she actually is. And I thought the little bit of the accent she had was kinda funny. Jang Hyuk in this did a great job and worked really well with Jang Nara. The only thing that bothered me was his hair! It looked like something straight out of the 90s. He kinda reminded me of Nick Carter in his early days.
Anyway, there are tons of cute scenes between Han Gi Tae and Yang Soon. I can remember, in my opinion, the best one. It’s when she is cleaning his home and decides to buy goldfish. When he comes home and sees them, he gets a little touchy at first (as I recall, I could be wrong), but she says to him something to the effect of how nice it is to have something living in the house and how much warmer it feels. Every time I think about this drama, I remember that moment.
I think everything about this drama was right in line with the plot, except the end where Yang Soon decides to go into the army. That kinda confused me a tiny bit, but otherwise, great story, great drama. I definitely would definitely watch this if you have time. Here are the links and enjoy!
